Information for students on their final year of study The Final Year is designed to hone students’ language and analytical skills. There is a greater emphasis on independent learning and seminar‐based work, which builds on the experience gained during the Year Abroad. There is greater flexibility and choice, allowing students to pursue areas of particular interest to them. MEL Single Honours students will study for two written language papers, one oral exam + assessment, four option papers, and the completion of the dissertation prepared during the year abroad.
