Creative writing on the theme of 'colours'. Launch date: Wednesday 5 April 2023. We are delighted to introduce the tenth issue of our online Creative Writing magazine, Babble. Issue Ten focuses on the theme of 'colours'. From festivals to feelings, musings on love to melancholy memories, contributions reflect the bright kaleidoscope of experiences of our student community in Edinburgh. The issue features 25 contributions from 20 students across our European languages: 20 on the theme 'colours', and five in the Melting Pot section. The supplement includes 15 articles in French and 10 in Spanish. We’re an online magazine, a creative space for you to practise your target language(s) and receive useful feedback and guidance on your work, whether that’s prose, drama, poetry or reviews. We want to showcase what you’re good at, grow our sense of community, and promote multilingualism. The first issue of Babble was supported by alumni and friends of the University of Edinburgh through an Innovation Initiative Grant. In March 2021, Issue Six's editorial committee was nominated for The Dean of Students Award for Contribution to Student Experience in the CAHSS Recognition Awards. Babble is perhaps the finest symbol of our efforts to make DELC a welcoming, collaborative and encouraging community of linguists, whatever language they practise.
