Babble: Issue Thirteen launch

In brief

Date - 28 November 2024

Venue - Project Room 1.06, 50 George Square

About the event

Babble is a Creative Writing magazine for students in European Languages and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh. Join them for the launch of their thirteenth edition, themed around 'Multilingualism'.

For this edition, contributors were asked to write any story or poem where the language they study (which can be any language taught within the Department of European Languages and Cultures at the University) is combined with another one to enrich their text. It will feature contributions written in a range of European languages.

So come along to discover how the Babblers have expressed themselves this time! This event will have readings from the new issue, as well as music and food.

Are you interested in studying European Languages and Cultures?

Our interdisciplinary environment brings together specialists in nine European languages, and the many cultures worldwide in which they're spoken, with experts in film, literature, theatre, translation and intermediality.

Working with colleagues elsewhere in LLC, and across the wider University, we are able to support research which crosses boundaries between disciplines and languages.
