This conference will showcase the work of academics and postgraduate researchers from all over the world who are studying the early modern period. The conference consists of a number of panels, the topics of which can be found below in the programme, and a keynote lecture from Dr Inma Sánchez García (University of Edinburgh) entitled 'Queering Romeo and Juliet on Contemporary Screen Cultures: From the Netherlands to Ukraine'. About the network The Northern Early Modern Network was originally established to provide a regional network for early modern scholars in Scotland and the north of England. Since its creation, the scope of the NEMN has been extended and includes members from around the world. NEMN helps to facilitate connections between postgraduate research students and early career researchers across the United Kingdom and beyond, as well as to provide a hub of information about events, conferences, and resources relevant to early modernists.
