Since then, they have held numerous research, public, and network-building events. These have taken place within the University of Edinburgh, the City of Edinburgh, and elsewhere in Scotland, in collaboration with other Universities. Their chief aims remain the same: to build connections between researchers working in the field of 19th century Scottish studies and to foster public awareness of the richness and diversity of Scottish culture in the period. Events are free and everyone is welcome. No booking is required. Are you interested in a PhD in English Literature? We offer two PhDs: one in English Literature; and one in Creative Writing. Working with colleagues in LLC and across the wider University, we are able to support research which crosses boundaries between disciplines and/or languages.
