Carrie: The Musical

About the event

1974. Prom is days away. Carrie, a social outcast under the strain of her mother's religiosity, discovers the power of telekinesis. Find out what happens when Carrie is pushed too far by her high-school bullies on the most anticipated night of the year: senior prom.

This amateur production of Carrie: The Musical is staged by Edinburgh University Footlightd and presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. The music is by Michael Gore, with lyrics by Dean Pitchford and the book by Lawrence D Cohen. The play is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King.
