About the event

The green digital transition is underway. But what does the transition look like when dictated by the demands of monopoly tech? How has this situation come to be? And where is it being resisted?

Patrick Bresnihan (Maynooth University), will join Hannah Boast (English Literature) to discuss his new book 'From the Bog to the Cloud: Dependency and Eco-Modernity in Ireland' (Bristol University Press, 2025), co-authored with Patrick Brodie (University College Dublin).

This event is co-hosted by Historical and Cultural Geography Research Group and Edinburgh Environmental Humanities Network.
