An annual, online journal that focuses on the cultural heritage of Scotland, specifically its ethnology (folklore and folklife). Founded in 1984, the Review of Scottish Culture (ROSC) is an international, fully peer-reviewed journal. It is hosted by the European Ethnological Research Centre at the University of Edinburgh (EERC) and published by Edinburgh University Press (EUP). The journal encourages multi and interdisciplinary research with a focus on the ethnology of Scotland, tangible and intangible heritage. It welcomes submissions considering the culture of Scotland – both as it is expressed today and as it connects to the past and future. We welcome articles of up to 5,000 words as well as submissions which include images, video and audio. All submissions should follow the general style guide for EUP journals. Audio should be submitted as MP3 files and video in MP4 or MPG formats. Clips of up to 2 minutes can be included alongside your text, along with links to longer audio or video clips.
