About the event

Join us for an evening of music, song, poetry and chat with Marcas Mac an Tuairneir and Rachel Walker. Rachel and Marcas have been collaborating as songwriters for a number of years, combining Marcas’ expressive poetry with Rachel’s beautiful melodies to create songs that have made an impact on the Gaelic music community.

Together they have written extensively for projects and events, including Rachel’s album ‘Gaol', Marcas’ multilingual project 'Oran na Cille', and most recently on Rachel Walker and Aaron Jones' debut album 'Despite the Wind and Rain’, celebrating a number of Scottish women and covering topics such as suffrage, emancipation, endeavour, discovery and women's rights.
