In this seminar, Professor Terry Gunnell will explore the Nordic connection of Orkney folk legends in particular, and introduce the major project which is making many of those places available for comparative study, research and pleasure.

About the speaker

Professor Terry Gunnell is an internationally acknowledged leader in the field of Folkloristics, with special interests in the North Atlantic world and the folk traditions - tales, legends, beliefs, mythology, religion, drama, masks, mumming and much more - of Iceland and associated territories.

Joining a seminar is free, and everyone is welcome. No booking is required.
