About the speaker

Dr Jo Miller is an ethno-musicologist and community music practitioner, and current Chair of Scotland's Traditional Music Forum.

Dr Miller's academic research interests and publications encompass the pedagogies and learning practices of musicians, community music, music and cultural value, and musical traditions of Dumfries and Galloway. She was the founder of the undergraduate BA programme in Scottish Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the 1990s.

Joining a seminar is free, and everyone is welcome. No booking is required.
