Title - Breaking the Chains: Exploring Dundee's Historic Links to Slavery

About the event

"Breaking the Chains" is a map and walking tour exploring historic links to slavery and the anti-slavery movement in Dundee. Many of these links developed through the textile industry, but they are also intertwined with religious, social and cultural networks in the city. Dr Erin Farley (Local History Officer, Dundee Libraries) and Matthew Jarron (Curator, University of Dundee Museums), its co-authors, will speak about some of the main points on the trail, as well as its development and reception.

How to attend

Joining a seminar is free, and everyone is welcome. No booking is required.

All seminars take place online fortnightly on Fridays from 13.00 to 14.00. Please contact Dr Neill Martin to be added to the mailing list for an invitation, link and passcode.
