About the films

Meu Amigo Pedro Mixtape, Directed by Lincoln Péricles, Brazil, 2024, 10 min.

The filmmaker revisits memories recorded with the first cameras and microphones he had access to, creating a film in Rap Mixtape format, mixing sounds and images from Brazilian cinema and denaturalizing work images.

Othelo, O Grande, Directed by Lucas H. Rossi, Brazil, 2024, 83 min.

Sebastião Bernardes de Souza Prata, Grande Otelo, was one of Brazil’s greatest actors and comedians, using the spotlight to shape his own narrative and discuss the institutional racism that haunted him for eight decades, two dictatorships and over a hundred films. Best Documentary Award at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival (2023).
