About the speaker

Dr Ferenc Péter Csirkés is an Assistant Professor in the History of the Pre-modern Islamicate World within the School of History and Cultures at the University of Birmingham.

Dr Csirkés’s research interests include Iranian history, Ottoman history, Ottoman Turkish literature, Persian literature, cultural history, Central Asian history, and Central Asian literature.
