The proposed Centre for Nordic Research would be Scotland's first point of call for Nordic expertise, and the country's premier gateway for Nordic-related academic and cultural exchange. Image Scandinavian Studies at the University of Edinburgh is the only fully-fledged department in Scotland focusing on the Nordic languages and cultures. As an established and vibrant interdisciplinary research unit at the heart of a world-leading centre of academic excellence, we are ideally situated in Scotland’s capital city to develop a national Centre for Nordic Research.
