About the event

We are delighted to virtually host a conversation via web link with director Lars Kraume on his 2015 film, 'Der Staat gegen Fritz Bauer'. The event will be chaired by Dr Paul Leworthy and held in a mix of German and English.

While the event is particularly geared towards students studying German, some of whom have studied the film as part of their programme, the event is open to all students, staff and film enthusiasts. The film is available to watch on Box of Broadcasts.

There will be drinks (including soft drinks), snacks and a chance for students to socialise and continue discussions after the event.

Our interdisciplinary environment brings together specialists in nine European languages, and the many cultures worldwide in which they're spoken, with experts in film, literature, theatre, translation and intermediality.

Working with colleagues elsewhere in LLC, and across the wider University, we are able to support research which crosses boundaries between disciplines and/or languages.
