As part of the goals and ambitions of Al Muntada, we aim to facilitate educational insight. Our previous work with Syrian Futures has aimed at providing workshops and projects to educate Syrian refugees on the options they have available in Scotland. Meanwhile, the Alwaleed Centre regularly offers day workshops for classes to come experience university seminars and religious studies lessons.

We are proud to continue this work through a series of workshops that will connect Arab-speaking academic staff and current students to aspiring students and the wider Scottish Community.

We hope to:

  • Facilitate equal educational opportunities among Arab-speaking students and families

  • Help individuals navigate pathways into education, university courses and career pathways.

  • Encourage knowledge exchange between academic staff, current students, administration staff and potential students and their families.

Our Current Educate Events

Educate Workshop Series

This series of workshops and sessions for high school students from the Arabic-speaking community explores the Scottish Further and Higher Education system. By welcoming Arabic-speaking academics and professionals from the University of Edinburgh and beyond, our sessions will provide guidance and knowledge around subject choices, academic pathways and vocational opportunities.
