Alwaleed Postgraduate Scholarships

For MSc The Globalised Muslim World Students

If you have applied for the MSc The Globalised Muslim World programme, you are eligible to apply for a £5000 scholarship. Parttime students are eligible to apply for £2500 in each year of their studies.

If your scholarship application is successful, it will be paid to you directly once you have paid your tuition fees in full.

For PhD Students

PhD students who are supervised by at least one member of the Alwaleed Centre's academic team are eligible to apply for a £5000 scholarship once they have successfully passed their first year review.

Students  can apply for the scholarship in each subsequent year of study. However, the number of scholarships is limited each year, so the process will be competitive. Success one year does not guarantee success in subsequent years.

To apply apply for the scholarship, please email the following documents to: thealwaleedcentre@ed.ac.uk by 1 October of the current academic year:

• Your first year review submission
• A two-page cover letter detailing the progress you have made with your project and your plans for the coming year
• References from all of your PhD supervisors

A decision will be made within two weeks of the 1 October deadline.
